Lawrence K. Van Hoose joined Ochsner Health System in December 2006 as Senior Vice President-External Relations and is responsible for all external activities including government relations, philanthropy, marketing and business development, public relations, community relations, executive health, corporate and community wellness and international health services. He has thirty years of healthcare experience having spent twenty years at Valley Health System in Winchester, Virginia and ten years at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City. He and his wife have four grown children and live in Uptown New Orleans.
